Open road, good friends riding with you, and your favorite tunes blasting from the bike's speakers … life just doesn't get any better!
Mary Evans - your Membership Officer here. I got my first bike in the early '80s while stationed in Brawdy, Wales, UK with the Navy. Ended up with a 1977 Triumph Bonneville 750 that I rode overseas and stateside until late 1990, when I put her up dry prior to transfer to Japan. The years passed, and unfortunately, I never got the old gal back on the road. Came down with a bad case of new bike fever in June of 2003 and went shopping. That's when I got my first Harley – a 100th Anniversary Sportster 1200 Sport. Great little bike: fun to ride, ran like a scalded dog, and got super gas mileage. However, after a few years, I realized I needed something that would be a little more comfortable on longer rides. In May of 2009 I returned to the Harley shop on a mission. Went home that day on a 2009 Dyna Street Bob.
I joined this HOG chapter shortly afterward, and as my mom says, it's the best thing I've done for myself in years. We have a great group of folks: very diverse, but bound together by a love of motorcycling and those who ride. We always have a blast whenever and wherever we get together, be it in large or small groups, riding or not. Time spent with my HOG friends is a special treat ... looking forward to spending lots more time with you!
Ride Safe!
